Leeds Beckett University swimming pool refurbishment. It is a university with a rich sports culture and the facilities to match.
The swimming pool is located on the Headingly Campus, which is the university’s hub for sports and activity. The pool is a 21m, four-lane pool. It is widely used from beginner swimmers to families to even the most elite swimmers, whether they be staff, students or members of the public.
SA Pool Systems Limited were initially contacted to ask what they could do about the tired old tiled pool.
Our Contracts Manager completed a site visit with the Head of Buildings and Grounds from the university. They were in agreement that the swimming pool was looking very tired and dated.
We were asked to provide a quotation for a swimming pool refurbishment with our Epoxy Resin Lining system. We were highly delighted to receive confirmation of the order for the works a few weeks later.
In October 2025 the work commenced and within 4 weeks the project was completed in time and to budget.
We prepared the existing pool tank to apply our epoxy resin lining system, which consists of a one continuous waterproof membrane impregnated with epoxy resin, finished with a colour epoxy resin and reinstated the lane lines, this was all then sealed with one final coat and voila!
The Head of Buildings and Grounds and all of the staff agree that the completed works look fantastic and couldn’t believe their once tired pool looked like new.
