The pool was to comprise of 3 lanes to include: A resistance lane by installing a swim jet machine. An integrated underwater treadmill with underwater cameras to assist the physiotherapists with rehabilitation progress and a free swimming lane.
Each lane was separated by internal walls to enable all or part of the swimming pool to be used. The swimming pool is 15 metres x 8 metres x 2 metres deep (1 metre below ground and 1 metre above ground), divided into 3 lanes and was constructed using reinforced concrete. After the construction was complete an epoxy security render was applied throughout. The whole of the pool was then lined using our epoxy lining system. The club logo was then applied to the pool floor. The swim jet machine, integrated underwater treadmill and cameras were then installed and connected to a digital viewing system.
During the construction of the swimming pool an external building was built to house the plant system which included filtration vessels, pumps, UV system, heat exchanger, automatic chemical control system and automatic top-up system.
We also installed approximately 300sq.m of our aqua-bead non-slip safety flooring throughout the unit. Drainage channels were cut around the pool to house our in-house manufactured GRP gullies and our solid HDPE overflow grills.
Upon completion a full maintenance and training programme was compiled for the club. The complete project was finished within 5 months and the whole club were delighted with the finished project.
